Integrated solar and battery project will be largest in Arizona

Salt River Project today announced a 20-year power purchase agreement for a grid-scale, integrated solar and battery project that will be located in Pinal County, Arizona. SRP will purchase all of the energy produced at the Pinal Central Energy Center near Coolidge which will be constructed and owned by a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources.

Nancy Brooks, Senior Energy Diversion Specialist, is a 16-year employee at SRP, and a passionate animal advocate. She volunteers for four animal nonprofits – Most Valuable Pets (MVP), Benji’s Buddies, AZ Happy Tails and Helping Hands for Homeless Hounds – and loves being able to give back to the community. SRP scientists achieve breakthrough in 3-D light bulb technology

This morning, scientists at the SRP Kilowatt Research Laboratory had quite the a-ha moment as they test-printed a 3-D light bulb that uses one-tenth the energy of an LED bulb. If the demos are a success, customers could soon have a powerful new super energy-efficient lighting option that they could print in their own homes.
