Another energy demand record

System demand peaks at 7,219 MW

For the second consecutive day, Salt River Project on Tuesday delivered a record amount of energy to its Phoenix-area retail customers.

Between 5 and 6 p.m. June 20, we delivered an estimated retail peak demand of 7,219 megawatts (MW).

That peak topped Monday’s SRP system peak of 6,981 megawatts, which surpassed the 2016 peak of 6,873 megawatts.

Our crews work hard behind the scenes to ensure reliable power delivery to customers.
