SRP customer donations to ‘Solar for Nonprofits’ help DBG
Thanks to the generosity of customers who donated to the SRP Solar for Nonprofits program, much of the energy powering the Desert Botanical Garden will be as green as this spring’s desert landscape.
The Salt River Project customer-funded program helped finance solar installations on four buildings’ rooftops that cumulatively add up to 100 kilowatts. The solar systems are providing green power to the Desert Botanical Garden’s Horticulture Center, Weisz Learning Center, Marley Education and Volunteer Building, and Ottosen Gallery.
Integrated solar and battery project will be largest in Arizona
Salt River Project today announced a 20-year power purchase agreement for a grid-scale, integrated solar and battery project that will be located in Pinal County, Arizona. SRP will purchase all of the energy produced at the Pinal Central Energy Center near Coolidge which will be constructed and owned by a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources.
